Johan '64 Dodge Ramchargers F/C

This is a rare kit, but it does come up every so often. It has two options, build either the super stock or the funny car. I've only seen a couple of these built, they always do the super stock; I've never seen anyone build the funny car- which, of course, is the only reason I even bought this kit. I was never in love with the old Johan kits; I have a few, and only the one of these in the stash- figured it was time to build it. Decals had some chipping, so I got a set of Fred Cady replacement decals, well worth it. Tamiya Pure White paint. Pretty easy boxstock build, I thought it came out ok. I included some pics on a black background. Comments welcome!

Wow! Talk about a trip down memory lane! I had this exact kit many, many years ago, found it in a charity shop for a few pounds, and decided not to waste any of it. So I ended up with a sort of drag car (I added more modern running gear and a hi rise intake) and the funny car chassis got shortened then appeared under a Fiat body as an altered. Strange thing is, I ended up selling them both and I very rarely, if ever, sell finished kits. No idea why that was.

Anyway, a great build and another one in the eye for collectors!

Oh that brings some memories l had that kit when l was a teenager 
I remember building the super stock 
Never even thought of building a  funnycar  (l wish l still had it l love johan kits)

Nice finish and a really nice build up l really like it

I've already built some great rare kits so far this year, more on the build table as I speak, and more planned- the collectors are gonna have their eyes knocked clean outta their heads!

You and Harley both have your own histories of this kit. And note, you built the super stock- like I said, no one seemed to build the funny car! Thanks, glad you like it!
