The USA-1 Camaro is a rare kit, though they do come up every so often for sale.
I have several of these Camaros. Eventually I'll build 3 different USA-1 cars- the '66 Chevelle, and the '68 and '70-'72 Camaros. Not today. I picked one of these with bad decals, to build something else. There is no kit of the Fighting Irish Camaro. This is truly just a look-a-like of the 1:1, nothing like a replica. I built this kit boxstock, so the chassis, headers, etc. aren't right for a replica. Painted Testors Lime Green, with Slixx decals. The decals were meant to be used with a Competition Resins Camaro body, which is not quite the same as this MPC kit, so I had to do some trimming and juggling to get it right. After everything, I think it does what I wanted- represents the Fighting Irish Camaro. I always thought that was such a cool funny, wanted one for my shelf. Comments welcome!
