Thnx guys.
Paul every bike have potential, I has 35 years ago, yes I getting old :-), a JAWA 250 I think and rebuild it to a chopper, banana seat, mustang tank, diffend fenders, open pipes and a JAWA Californian front wheel and that thing really looking good and rides very well. Wish that I still have that bike now.

I agree, my first chop was a 1947 Triumph 500 Tigre. had a factory rigid frame and an internally sprung rear wheel. Did a Solo seat, 6 inch over tubes, Sportster tank and T T pipes. Did that over 45 years ago. Just never looked at BMW or other European bikes because of cost here.

I have made the new exhaust system, still a little work on them and must airbrushed it chrome, handle bars are still missing and small stuff that's need a Little attention. I hope that the Beemer is next week ready for the fotoshoot LOL

Pipes are cool, but in my opinion fish tails with a mild up sweep would fit the style better. BUT that's my style since day one. Paul

By the way Ron, where do you live ? ...... it occured to me, with the discussion of bike makes; that we all have to work with what we have, outside the States; the bikes & cars sold & on the street, as well as the model kits; are going to be different; also the style of customizing to a large degree - wherever you are ..... I applaude you for thinking outside the box & creating a really sharp project here !!

Where I live? just here LOL Just kidding I live in the Netherlands, just a stupid Dutchmen that not could build a kit out of the box way to difficult with those instructions inside :-) What cars, bikes and ours hobby concerns, Its ours culture here in Europe we have no real marked of U.S cars and bikes, yes off course there are some dealers that sell them but they are expensive and we could better buy a European car they are cheaper. Building custom cars or choppers here where I live is not so easy to many rules what you may change on a car off bike. Also finding a nice model kit off a U.S. car is sometime hard, here in the hobby shop only five models and the cheapest is 30 dollar.

That's really coming together nicely Ron. I love the look of the seat (although I'm not sure I'd want to ride too far on it!).

All of us here on this site are all the same... better to build it our way than out of the box, I could never do it. I do not think I've built a kit stock in 40 years. Maybe a good idea for a future group build, Out Of Box. Paul
